The Armor of God part 1
Good afternoon to you all. Well I'm going to start this with John 10:10. You might be wondering that this doesn't pertain to the armor of God at all. It doesn't but we need to understand what the devil is doing to be able to fight off the devil right? John 10:10 describes that the devil is going to come to steal, kill and destroy. Let's look at the word devil here. The word devil defined in Greek means to penetrate. Which means the devil can only penetrate your mind. He keeps hitting you over and over again until he penetrates our drives himself through you. It also means he only does it in one way and that's through the mind. We give the devil to much credit. People say that he's sneaky. The thing is he can only enter through one area of your body. The area is your mind. If you defeat your mind you have defeated the devil. I'll give you an example. The devil starts to put thoughts into your mind. Let's say a head ache. He's trying to convince you that you have one. When you really don't. So he keeps coming and coming telling you over and over that you have one. Until you say man I think I have a headache. He just penetrated your mind. That is how it works. If that happens people pray out to God saying can you please heal me. Oh perty please I've been really good. God your word says that Jesus died on the cross for all our sicknesses. This last statement is true he did die on the cross for them. It also states in 1 Peter that WE WERE HEALED. Stating that we will never get sick. If the devil tells you that you are sick. Tell him that it can't be so because Jesus healed us over 2000 years ago. Then start claiming and rejoicing to God for your health. So why am I telling you all of this. Well when we start to get into the whole armor of God you have to realized how to use the armor. Your not going to use your helmet of salvation if the devil is a mile away are you? Well this should get your mind ready for what's coming up. When we get done with this little series. You'll look at the devil as a no body. Just like Paul. In the hole book of Romans Paul only mentioned the devil once. Paul pretty much stated that the devil just ain't worth talking about. Which is true. We should be talking and glorifying God more than the devil. Everyone have a great day in the Lord.
