Simplicity from Smith Wigglesworth

This is from Smith W. I won't comment on it. Well just because it needs no comment. This little passage from him is on Faith. We all know he had strong Faith. This is how simple it is to have strong faith. This is the passage of Smith Wigglesworth:

Fill your head and your heart with the Scriptures. Memorize passages from the Word, with the name of the book, the chapter, and the verse, so that you can quote the Scripture correctly in addresses or in open-air meetings.

As you do this, you are sowing in your heart seeds, which the Spirit of God can germinate. He can bring to your remembrance from time to time that which you have once memorized. You must be so soaked with the Word of God, you must be filled with it, that you yourself are a living epistle, known and read of all men.

Believers are strong only as the Word of God abides in them. The Word of God is spirit and life to those who receive it in simple faith, and it is a verifier of all who own its sway.

Know your BOOK, live it, believe it, and OBEY it. Hide God's work in your heart. It will save your soul, quicken your body, illumine your mind. The Word of God is full and final, infallible, reliable, and up-to-date, and our attitude towards it must be on of unquestioned obedience.

If a thing is in the Bible, it is so; it is not even to be prayed about; it is to be received and acted upon. Inactivity of faith is a robber, which steals blessing. Increase comes by action, by using what we have and what we know. Your life must be one of going from faith to faith.

Smith Wigglesworth had 3 saying that he liked to use. These are true words of knowledge and wisdom.
1.Great faith is the product of great fights.
2.Great testimonies are the outcome of great tests.
3. Great triumphs can only come out of great trials.

Just let this stuff set in your heart and soul. This should make you change the way you think and do things. It's simple stuff don't need to be a rocket scientist do figure it out. God Bless to you all. Chow.

It's almost the weekend!

Friday has fallen upon us again. This is a little sweeter Friday though. Come Monday I don't have to go back to work. It's going to be a nice 3 day weekend. On Monday we are going to have the kids in the Memorial Day parade in our area. They're going to perform God Bless America in a puppet form. And for me. I get to dress up as a monkey and pass out candy. I know the thoughts that are probably going through your mind. Just keep them under control. The other night I was reading some of Smith's Wigglesworth sermons. It's actually a book that contains almost all of his sermons. I would say it's about 3-4 inches thick. I just made me think of all the preachers of old. They were all so bold in the way they did things. They did things because God told them to do it and they didn't care what people might say or do. Smith W. used to punch people for healing, because that's what God told him to do. How many of us would do that? Or walk into a funeral were you know no one and tell everyone to leave. Drag the body out of the coffin and raise them from the dead, over 100 times. How many of us would go that's crazy God you want me to do what. The people would kick me out of there or that is way out there God. There's no way I could do that. Those few statements I just made will show the true character of a person. The statements keep repeating I or me. See God doesn't want us to think about ourselves. We all know when we think about ourselves we usually end up in trouble some how. God wants us to think on Him and only Him and our lives would truly be amazing. The preachers from the past didn't join the ministry on fire and ready to go. They had to make the same steps as we do. Smith W. would start preaching a sermon and mid way through it. If he thought he was bombing the sermon he would go sit down. That was in front of big crowds. He even had to over come barriers. The thing is these people in the past. Over came there barriers and became very powerful men and women of God. They had to start with the number one barrier and that was themselves. They had to get out of the I and me mode and get into the God mode. Selfishness is the root of all evils. So let's start walking in the them, and not the me. The next time you do something don't do what you want to do, but do what they want to do. The Bible tells us to be like Christ. I never once heard Jesus say, this is what I want to do. Nope I don't' feel like helping you today, or know I'm not going to give a little extra effort or money to you today. No Jesus died on the cross for us. He healed all that needed healing. He even taught the disciples all the way up to the day He was going to be crucified. He always put more into what He taught and what He gave, because He was a servant like we should be. Let's get that servant's heart, and let's drop our selfish ones. Everyone have a great weekend. We'll talk to you all on Tuesday. Happy Memorial Day to all the veterans that passed away and are still living. Thanks for being servants to our country so we could have the freedom of today. God Bless.

The chance of Snow?

It's not out of the question. This weekend it's going to be cold one of the mornings with a chance of rain/snow. The low is going to be 36 on Saturday. Yep the 26th of May with a chance of snow. That is crazy. Tomorrow it's going to be 39. Now it's a mad dash to cover all the plants to keep them from all freezing. What a crazy year. That's what we get for living in Minnesota. We should be getting the turkeys tomorrow. It's amazing to watch little critters like that grow up. When we look back at the chickens you get to see the hand of God at work. For chickens to never see there mother, but know how to survive. Somehow they know they need to stay warm, eat, and drink. All without a parent buy there side. When God made these chickens way back at the beginning He put it in them to be able to survive without there mom knowing what was going to happen 1000 of years later. Some say there is no God. God is just amazing how He made everything so perfect. It's so amazing our minds can't even comprehend all His Glory and Wisdom. Have a blessed day!

Howdy everyone in Blogville!

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Been busy with the baby and the new hobby farm. The baby is doing great. She weigh's over 8lbs. She has a lot of the baby fat wrinkles. Since the last time I wrote we've had a baby and we've gotten 100 hundred chickens, we have 35 turkeys that are on there way. We also planted over 400 seeds of corn, 50 starwberry plants(25 are on there way), about 14 tomato plants, 8 cucumbers, 4 muskmelons, 4 canteloups, 9 jalepeno peppers, 4 green peppers, 8 watermelons, 6 zuchini, 4 dills, 4 brasils, 100 radish, 25 carrots, 30 sweet peas, 5 green beans, 50 potatoes, and 200 hundred onions. Hopefully I didn't leave anything out. If I did I'll let you know later. So the hobby farm is on it's way. The turkey's that I got were 15 white turkey's then 20 narragansett turkey's. The N turkey's reproduce on there own. That I won't have to keep buying more and more turkey's every year. So I had to build a workable chicken barn out of one of my sheds. I also had to build a turkey shed that would be to there likings. Along with raising a family and having 2 jobs. God will truly give you strength and energy when you need it. Then in about 3 weeks I'll be traveling through Janice's country to get to Oklahoma. Where I'll be going to a Bible conference for 4 days. While I'm there I'll also be getting ordained. So just the beginning of a busy summer for me. Almost forgot I've been helping out with the float at our church to get that ready for the Memorial Day Parade. Well all I know is that God is good and He's always in the driver seat. If tells me to do something I'm going to do it no matter how big it might look. He'll give me the time and the energy to get it done. Through all the building and planting I've still had a little bit of free time with the fam. God bless you all. Talk to you guys later. Chow
